Interior painting of a Century Home in Chesterland

Interior painting of a Century Home in Chesterland

Continued from my previous post, The Master Brush was also hired to paint this interior part of this home built in 1847.  The customer decided to keep the exterior wall from the original part of the house as part of the new interior floor plan.  She then then added some replica exterior lights to keep the appearance of it being the outside of the house.

I love customers like this that truly understand that an old, beautiful house deserves the care and attention that we give to them. We try our best to do the best job possible, using quality paints and materials to be sure that the home is protected from the elements and is as beautiful as it can be.

Interior Painting of a mud room

Interior Painting of a mud room

Mud rooms come in various shapes and sizes, from simple entry ways to beautiful areas where the family can enter the house, sit and remove and store their shoes and hang their hats, jackets, book bags and more.

We recently completed an interior painting project on a mud room that wasn’t overly large, but it created a great space to keep the clutter of the family’s house down and allows everyone to have an organized place to put their things.

As you can see from the photos below, this family found some great hangers with a variety of whimsical shapes adding some fun to the area along with serving a great purpose. And the colors they chose beautifully accent the color of the wood and create a very interesting dynamic between the areas of storage. Steele Mansion project

Steele Mansion project

For the past several months, The Master Brush has been working at the Steele Mansion getting it ready to be one of the great public spaces in Painesville and Lake County Ohio.

Below are some photos from the work we have done.  It has been interesting working with some of the period colors.  This was a bathroom right out of the 1880’s.  They had some very aggressive time frames that we had to work in but it is a joy to see the whole project come together.

Instant brick wall faux finish

Instant brick wall faux finish

Recently The Master Brush painting and wallcovings was called in for a unique project.  The customer wanted a brick wall faux finish on the inside of the house.  Being the creative sort that we are, we removed the old wall coverings and replaced it with York pattern Rb4305 which is a faux finish brick wall.

We then painted the opposite wall with a Sherwin Williams poised taupe and the remaining two walls were painted Sherwin Williams buoyant blue.  Trim was finished in white along with the ceiling.

House Painting – bedroom painting in Beachwood Ohio

House Painting – bedroom painting in Beachwood Ohio

Here is a recent project that we completed in Beachwood Ohio.  We were called in to update an outdated bedroom by removing old sanitas, also known as sailcloth.

As we removed the wall coverings, we discovered the original plaster walls.

Two different colors were selected for the room, making a nice contrasting accent wall.

All trim was painted in a gloss finish for high durability and ease of cleaning.

Interior house painting Cleveland Heights

Interior house painting Cleveland Heights

Below is an interior house painting project that I recently completed in Cleveland Heights Ohio. For this painting project, I removed some outdated mirrors and gave new life to this Cleveland Heights home.

The first picture is before I began painting and the second is the same corner after painting.

Third picture is before the removal of an old larger mirror over the mantle. Forth is after the mirror is gone and painting was completed. I love the richness of the accent wall and how the fireplace now pops and really highlights the room.
